MDS Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry
The M. D. S. in Paedodontics & Preventive Dentistry is a three year Postgraduate program. This is a branch of dentistry which looks after the comprehensive oral health needs of children from birth till adolescence. The training includes didactic interaction & exposure to all kinds of real life clinical situations & is based on evidence-based information and utilizes problem-based learning among others.
The department of paedodontics and preventive dentistry at Ragas Dental College and Hospital is a specialty branch that teaches and practices dental treatment and preventive measures for children from birth through adolescent. It comprises not only the treatment aspects, but also education, motivation and prevention of dental diseases including those with special health care needs.

Admission Criteria are established by the college. To be considered for admission, you should have completed a five year Bachelors of Dental Studies(BDS) from a Dental Council of India accredited college or university prior to beginning postgraduate studies.
You should have earned good scores or grades in all prior undergraduate college-level coursework. A 2-3 page sample of your best writing for further evaluation of your professional and research skills. This could be a short paper, an excerpt from a longer paper, a report from your place of employment, or a medical writing sample (e.g. a lab report, a research report etc.)
